The Bug Blocker Pest Control Doors and Inserts

With spring in Michigan unfortunately comes the rain and eventually…pests. While it’s wonderful to throw open the doors and windows and get some fresh air into your building after a long winter, this can be tricky with loading dock doors. Every open dock door is an invitation to pests like insects and rodents. For some companies, it’s also a good way to lose inventory. If you would like a cost-effective way to screen out pests and predators while letting fresh air in, invest in the Bug Blocker.

The Bug Blocker Pest Control Doors

The Bug Blocker is available for overhead doors, chain-link security doors, air-inlet screen panels, and service-door screen inserts. Let’s go over what the options are.

Overhead Doors

The Bug Blocker overhead door is designed to add security, ventilation, and pest control to your loading dock doors. It retrofits with your existing door. Using your door’s vertical tracks, a switch mechanism, a second set of horizontal tracks, and a screen door are added. The overhead door comes in a variety of mesh densities (from 12 to 16 to 30 openings per inch) to keep out insects and animals of all sizes. It’s compliant with federal specification standards and OSHA fall protection regulations as well, so it works in a number of ways to keep workers and products safe.

The Bug Blocker overhead door features:

  • Aluminum frame construction
  • Stainless steel wire mesh
  • Torsion spring kit included

Chain-link Security Doors

Keep your current solid door, and add the Security Link Door to allow ventilation but prevent any loss of inventory. Chain-link security doors restrict any unauthorized entry, control major access points, and comply with OSHA fall prevention regulations. They feature:

  • Aluminum frame construction
  • 2-inch diamond galvanized steel mesh
  • Innovative switch design or dual track

Air Inlet Screen Panel

Outside air opening and louvers provide a building with necessary ventilation, but most openings have a screen permanently mounted inside the building. This makes it very hard to clean without creating water or dust problems in the facility.

The Bug Blocker Air Inlet Screen Panel is instead mounted outside the building using special brackets. Removing them for routine cleaning and reinstallation is simple and can be handled by one person. The aluminum extrusion frame is durable and corrosion resistant. If you need a fine screen mesh size for food industry applications, this is available. The air inlet screen panel features:

  • Aluminum frame construction
  • Stainless steel wire mesh
  • Easy removal and cleaning

Service Door Screen Insert

If you only need an insert for your service door, the Bug Blocker Service Door Screen Insert is available and can easily be retrofitted into your doors. It’s designed to withstand even the toughest industrial environments.

Optional clear lexan panels and insulated steel panels are also available to maintain interior comfort year round. This product features:

  • Aluminum frame construction
  • Frames secured by tamper proof headed screws
