High-Speed Fabric Roll-Up Doors

ThermaChill high speed fabric roll-up doors

Dock doors are designed specifically to do certain jobs. Yes, they all open and close to allow entrance into a building, but the needs of that facility determine which type of dock door will work best. Any building that sees high traffic that also needs to maintain the temperature, cleanliness, or air pressure of their facility should be looking at high-speed fabric roll-up doors as an option. These doors work extremely well for food processing or food storage facilities. Let’s look at how they’re built and what they do.

What Are High-Speed Fabric Roll-Up Doors?

All of the Albany doors we install are high-speed fabric doors. For very temperature-sensitive situations, Beuschel Sales recommends installing either the ThermaChill or the ThermaFreeze doors.

ThermaChill cold storage doors are designed for high-traffic, heavy-duty cooler and freezer applications. They are insulated and energy efficient and help improve safety and productivity while reducing moisture, energy use, and maintenance costs. This door opens and closes at a rate of 130 inches per second, so it’s extremely fast – one of the fastest high-speed doors on the market.

ThermaFreeze doors are just as fast as the ThermaChill doors, with a speed of 130 inches per second, but these doors are designed to work in environments that must remain between 32 degrees Fahrenheit (or below) and 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Its insulated freezer doors prevent door-panel moisture build up, and its low-voltage air-flow system keeps the door panel and side frames from ice build up as well.

We also recommend the Albany RR300 interior roll-up doors to our customers. While not as fast as the ThermaChill and ThermaFreeze doors, they open and close at an impressive 80 inches per second. This is a very versatile door, suitable for a wide variety of applications, including high-pressure zones, clean and hygienic spaces, and high-traffic areas. The Albany RR300 has a self-repairing bottom bar that is designed to survive accidental impacts and keep on rolling. Its tight seal keeps the inside in, eliminating energy loss, while keeping dust, dirt, and debris out. This door is easy to install practically anywhere.

All of the above doors can be activated by push button, pull-cord, remote, or motion detector for your need and convenience.
